  1. The standard resolution for images made for the web is 72

  2. The standard resolution for images made for print is 300

  3. The two types of files are

    1. a working file (psd) used for going in to each layer and continuing to edit

    2. a flattened file, simplifies the file, creates one whole layer for finished work or one that no longer needs layers
