For the Choose Your Own Webventure project, I want to create something similar to a personality test. I want to create a setting from fantasy, using scenes of cartoon/ animated woodlands, meadows, and other magical places. I also want to create a series of different magical beings and creatures. The questions that I craft will ultimately lead my classmates to discover which type of character / species of fantasy race they relate to. I also want there to be linear journeys through unique paths based on the answers chosen. The first pages will gave questions about physical characteristics, something like “choose a hairstyle” or “pick an outfit”. The next pages will have questions about personality traits, like “choose a personality trait that you relate to the most” or “how would you respond to this scenario…”. After these questions are answered they will be led to a new page to receive a character. I will reveal the character in a scene will have several different pathways, hidden in the image, and there will be a prompt to help the viewers find the linked images. From here, there will be more of a narrative where I will take the viewers on a journey unique to the character and pathway they chose in the first half of my creation. Some journeys will lead to safe places while others will lead to more dangerous / life-threatening experiences. Some pathways may lead to acquiring skills / friends along the journey, while other decisions might make you lose goods, like money or food.
