After receiving the project three prompts I almost immediately started to formulate ideas about what I wanted to do. I first thought that maybe I would do a sort of time travel / transportation to another dimension type of scene for the animation. I thought that maybe I could film my boyfriend swimming in the pool at our apartment complex and then take him into an underwater land for the animation. I also thought that maybe I could do something with his LEGOs, like film him messing around with them and then make it so we were transformed into lego people in a lego type of world. Another idea that I had was like us frollicking in the woods, drinking a magic potion and then turning into animated woodland creatures! (I still may do this now that I'm typing it out!) However, the idea that I decided to further develop with a storyboard is a scene that involves a couple of bored teenagers / college students hanging out, and then starting up a conversation that involves "Would you Rather" questions. Each question then generates ideas in the other person's head, which would be shown as an animated story. For example, if the person asks "would you rather have increased strength by 3x or have limbs that can stretch to 3x their normal length?" then I would show the person thinking about these concepts as little cartoons. I think that I could do a bunch of these types of questions and create more, simple scenes showing a thought process. I also feel like these types of questions would lead to a fun critique, and might get the class more involved because they can think about what they would answer as well.
