When I start thinking about the Exquisite Corpse Project I feel like I want to capture candid moments throughout my day versus staging particular noises. I think it would be cool to record noises that I typically hear everyday. Watching the videos in class of John Cage and his musical performances inspires me to simply listen to the sounds in front of me, and hit record when I hear something that inspires me. I also think it could be cool to pick a particular kind of noise, and try to find a bunch of different ways and things to fit in that category. For example, the Water Walk that John Cage performed was music that all had to do with water.
Here is a bulleted brainstorm of anything that pops into my head
I could record noises of the animal that I hear outside on my apartment's balcony
I hear crickets or peepers or something chirping at night sometimes
There are Northern Flickers and Blue jays that live in the trees and they make loud chirping noises too
The squirrels chattering
If I can catch raccoons or ever hear them????
The bees on the big yellow bushes buzzing!!
Cats meowing or dogs barking (less common and maybe not as cool as other sounds I could catch)
Noises of the weather or outside natural sounds
sound of wind blowing hard, making kind of high pitched noises?
raindrops hitting the ground, thundering sounds
leaves blowing across the road
More Meditative or Relaxing sounds
Windchimes , sound bowls, lighting my woodwick candle / incense
I could record noises from my routine day
Waking up - throwing blanket off me
Flicking on the lights
Brushing teeth
Making food
Grabbing keys
Shutting door
Walking to school
Catch friends / family telling stories or just saying silly things
Cracking different bones lol
knuckles, neck, back, knees, hips, omg
Book pages turning, shutting, computer keys, backpack zips
